Our new warehouse extension was completed on the 5th June after a 4 month building period which was unfortunately extended to to Covid 19. Many thanks to Hill Construction for their excellent work under difficult circumstances.
The new warehouse was efectively completed on 20th March 2020 upon the pouring of the concrete floor. This took place 3 days before the "Lockdown" announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson on 23rd March due to the Covid19 situation. This completion was timed perfectly to enable social distancing of our staff within this new facility which at the time had plenty of new floor space. Many of the picking benches for our warehouse staff were relocated into this new structure to enable the required social distancing.Despite the associated slowdown in work from our customers we were able to keep all warehouse staff busy with the installation of new racking and relocation of many of our product lines.
The extension provides what is almost a mirrow image of our previous warehouse in terms of size.
As you can see above we have already started fitting this out with Racking and lighting. The extra storage space will allow us to stock more of the items that we require for our customers.
