Socket Capscrews to DIN912 / ISO4762

Socket capscrews are ideal for applications requiring a deep recess, and are available in a wide variety of materials, finishes, and sizes.

Socket capscrews have a hexagonal or shaped wrench drive, requiring a hex key to tighten and remove. Allen head screws or bolts are also available, and they come in a variety of head styles, including button head, cap head, grub head, and countersunk head.

We offer socket capscrews in a variety of materials, finishes, and sizes. They are made of grade 12.9 steel and are available with or without bright zinc plating and stainless steel. We also stock these products in grades 10.9 and 8.8.

Our socket cap crews are available in a full range of sizes and can be driven with hexagon bits, keys, or Torx keys. Some socket capscrews are part-threaded - please see product descriptions for further information.

The socket capscrew is a production line favourite as they are easily tightened, high tensile and have a neat appearance as well as great strength.

Grade 12.9 socket capscrews are the strongest, with the highest level of resistance to being loosened and breaking under stress. They have cylindrical heads and are tightened using a hexagon wrench.

Socket capscrews can safely be used in temperatures ranging from -50 to +300 degrees Celcius. They are distinguished from other screw types, such as thumb screws, by the fact that their length is measured from under the head.

If you have a requirement for these grades please contact our sales desk on 0191 2645333.
