A range of stainless steel clinch nuts. Also known as a self clinching fastener. Available in A2/304 stainless steel. We stock sizes from M2.5 to M10 with shank codes of 0, 1 & 2.

Clinch nuts are self clinching internally threaded nuts that are pressed into the base material. They are used typcally used in applications where the material is too thin to tap threads. They are installed using a squeezing force on both sides of the fastener usually by a specialised pressing machine. The sqeezing force dictates that the sheet metal surrounding the nut cold flows into an undercut making the fastener an integral part of the sheet.
Shank codes refer to the length of the shank and the one that is used depends on the thickness of the material into which the nut is being pressed.
