A range of all metal locknuts to DIN980.
These are also know as prevailing torque nuts which are designed to resist vibration and heat. Part of the top threads are delibrately deformed to creat a locking feature due to the inceased friction of the deformed threads. These nuts are ideal for applications that involve Vibration or Heat. Unlike nyloc nuts they do suffer failure in high temperatures which is why they are so suitable for applications involving heat.
